International Conference on Secure Software Development 2027

The International Conference on Secure Software Development 2027 (ICSSD2027), organized by the Computer Applications Department, fosters innovation, security, and sustainable software development. ICSSD2027 focuses on advancing research and technology to support a LLMbased secure software development environment. The event features keynote addresses by leading experts from academia and Industry, technical sessions, poster presentations, a hackathon, an Industrial Conclave, and interactive workshops. ICSSD2027 aims to inspire collaboration and innovation for providing solutions to global challenges.

The conference brings together researchers, industry experts, scholars, students, and policymakers to address critical challenges in secure code development using LLM tools, debugging, and optimization using natural language prompts for real-world problems.

Key themes include LLM models, LLM-based software development, software security and privacy, and ethical and societal implications of AI and AI-agent based software development.

About SPARC

The Scheme for Promotion of Academic and Research Collaboration (SPARC) aims to strengthen the research ecosystem of India's Higher Educational Institutions by promoting academic and research collaborations between Indian Institutions and leading institutions from across the globe.

The scheme facilitates productive academic cooperation in areas such as joint research projects, exchange of faculty and students, and joint degree programs by supporting the following key components:

Visits and long-term stay of leading international faculty and researchers at Indian institutions for teaching and research.

Visits by Indian students to premier international laboratories for training and experimentation

Joint development of niche courses, world-class books and monographs, translatable patents, demonstrable technologies, or action-oriented research outcomes and products.

Strengthening of bilateral cooperation through academic and research partnerships via workshops held in India

Publication, dissemination, and visibility through a high-profile annual international conference in India

Training of researchers and students

About the Institute

The National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (NIT-T), formerly known as Regional Engineering College (REC), was established in 1964 through a collaborative effort between the Indian and Tamil Nadu governments. Over the years, it has evolved into a Deemed University and, in 2007, gained the status of an Institution of National Importance.

The institute offers a wide array of courses, including undergraduate programs in ten branches, postgraduate courses across twenty-one disciplines in Science, Engineering, and Technology, as well as M.S. (by Research) and Ph.D. programs. The institute is in the Top 10 of engineering institutions in India.

Sprawling across an extensive 800-acre campus, the institute is well-equipped with modern facilities housed in the Octagon, a well equipped library with necessary infrastructure to develop a student into a wholesome individual.

About our Department

The Department of Computer Applications is one of the institution's pioneering departments. It is committed to imparting quality education in sub-fields of IT.

This department currently offers three full-time post-graduate programmes: a three-year Master of Computer Applications (MCA), a two-year Master of Science in Computer Science, and a two year M. Tech in Data Analytics. This department comprises 18 faculty members and is actively involved in research and project work, as well as teaching.
